Necklaces “Shaman” • Nouveaux Colliers

By

Claire

For months already, I am making researches about shamanism, prehistorical art and cults, animism, etc. It is so rich that I jump here and there with amazing new discoveries that enrich my world. I will make a post about that soon.

To give you an idea, I end up looking at thousands of cave paintings, reading about Amerindians totem animals while I listen to Pygmy’s traditional songs…Yes, I like it like that!

And I never want it to end, so to stay productive, I started the Shaman necklaces to keep my hands busy during the long Tv archeological documentaries (you know, Neanderthal pubic hairs).

I don’t like to buy material, I prefer to upcycle some that I find on my way or that I adopt after they have been left behind a bigger production. As a little squirrel (my totem?) I stock beautiful materials waiting for a creative idea to transform them into new unique products. And thanks to this habit, I have a colorful yarn collection! On top of it, I had kept all smaller pieces from our wood work for Seafood and OMO.

I spontaneously hand braid yarns together, mixing the different colors of my stock and chose a mask that I airbrushed and lightly oiled to complete it. It is a work in progress with no expiration date, I hand make few elements daily, and I invite you to discover the new necklaces as they happen through time. I’ll post the new designs online when they are ready.
